Welcome to my new dA journal layout. It's taken me a few days to get it finished - I knew what I wanted but twisting the CSS to allow it was an exercise in frustration. So, what exactly does this layout do that I'm so excited about...
See that header at the top. Reload the page a few times (leave 5 seconds or so between reloads otherwise you won't see what's going on.) Now, if you're in IE7 or above, Firefox 2 or above or in Chrome etc. you should see different header images when you reload. Neat, huh! Nothing amazing I know, but stretch your browser window - you'll see that the main part of the header always stays in the middle, whilst the background stays in place. Now that took some working out - I'm a stickler for wanting things centered!

IE6 users will always get the same header because that browser doesn't recognise PNG transparency unfortunately so that gets a design that doesn't need it.
Oh there's something else at the bottom of my journal as well - the "Random Doodle-oodle-Lings" box. Again, reload the page and you'll get a different doodle. I'll be adding doodles on a regular basis, and more headers, but after spending days on this already I need a break!
There are a few tweaks and CSS cleanups I need to make and if you see a header where the background doesn't appear to go with the foreground do let me know what browser you're in. Pulling in two random images that go together as a pair was a head scratcher and it may go wrong once in a while!
Show these deviations some love please, they're ones I've found recently and I think they're great.
