Doodled away on one of the small Moleskine Cahiers I got yesterday with just a white Uni Posca paint marker. 9 x 14cm in size with 64 ruled pages inside. I promised my kids that they'd get the first ones I did so took requests from them.
My 5yo son wanted a spaceman, so here's Arthur with his canine companion Pants.
Yes, Pants. Why? Well my son's first word years ago was pants. In fact he said pants a lot. And at about the same time he also got a cuddly dog which, yup you guessed it, he called Pants. Pants still goes pretty much everywhere with us
hehe, I'm enjoying using them The cross hatching was done with the smallest nib (it's about 0.7mm but in practice comes out at about 1mm) and after I'd done that it looked really confused so I ended up going around the main outlines again with a thicker nib.
Yeah, kind of goes with that whole potty training phase so I guess thinking about getting out of a nappy and into proper, grown up underwear was kind of playing heavily on his mind at the time.
I like the cross-hatching. It's a simple effect that really works well here in adding depth and making pieces pop in all the right places.
