Amoeba Coaster

I have the attention span of a goldfish I didn't mean to do this today but ended up doing it anyway. I'd recently hacked about a unit that we'd brought for our tv, consoles etc. to get it to fit over our gas meter (long story, old houses, don't go there.) Anyway, I was left with some nice bits of oak so got my jigsaw out today and cut a coaster from one of the pieces.

Plenty of gesso, Posca markers, acrylic varnish and some rubber feet I had lying around and voila a nice bright coaster for my desk.

I've got plenty of oak left over so I might cut out some more coaster shapes tomorrow. I'm tempted to do a small version of That Special Someone on one of them just because
